At EMILY KATE Bridal we run our boutique ‘By Appointment’ to ensure that every bride receives our undivided attention, and that you can relax in the knowledge that you'll not be disturbed. Simply book an appointment, and we’ll look look forward to welcoming you!
The door will always be open outside of reserved appointments for anyone who wishes to view our collection, but to avoid dissapointment we strongly advise that an appointment is made.
Our bridal gowns generally have a lead time of 4-6 months, with a further 2 months allowed for any alterations that may be required. With this in mind we would reccomend booking an appointment at least 12 months prior to the big day.
For those of you ladies who have less than the minimum required order time of 6 months in advance of your wedding date, there are premiums that can be paid to the designers we stock which in turn can expedite orders and significantly reduce the overall lead time. Please contact us for more information regarding this.
We charge a £20 non-refundable fee for our 90 minute consultation which is redeemable off the cost of your dream dress. We respectfully take your payment details in advance as a security against reservations that are not honoured without notification at least 72 hours prior the the scheduled appointment. Please see our cancellation policy for further details.
We allocate 90 minute appointments to our brides, where you will have the full boutique exclusively reserved. Our family ran business will provide you with the memorable bridal experience that you deserve. We will listen to your preferences, understand your style, and guide you through our wonderful collection of designer gowns. A private, spacious changing room allows you to try on the dresses in a relaxed and comfortable environment before the 'big reveal' to family and friends.
When arranging to collect your bridal gown, we will book you in for a 30 minute appointment, however should you wish to choose accessories please let us know in advance and we will allocate a longer period as required. We can help you complete the look to perfection with our stunning collections of veils and wedding accessories.
To maximise your experience during the allocated time you have at EMILY KATE BRIDAL, please make note of the styles you like and have seen on our website/social media as it will give you a headstart when you come in for your appointment.
For trying on dresses, it is reccomended that you wear flesh coloured underwear, a strapless bra and a hair clip so that the detail on the reverse of the dress can be seen. Please avoid wearing fake tan and be mindful of the makeup you wear so that we can ensure that our dresses are kept as beautiful as possible for all of our brides.
It is always helpful to bring someone along with you to an appointment but we kindly request that this is limited to no more than 3 guests. This will allow you to relax and enjoy the appointment without too many conflicting ideas and opinions, so that the focus is solely on our bride to ensure we can help her find the perfect gown for her perfect day.
We do not recommend bringing children with you as it can be stressful and distracting.
1 parking space will be reserved at the rear of the bridal boutique for each appointment. Parking outside the front of the store on the main high street is also possible, but please note that there are time limitations of 2 hours.
Our Bridal collection ranges from Sizes X to X. Smaller or larger sizes outside of this range can be requested but unfortunately cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us for more information as this will be dependant on the designer you have in mind.
Our bridal gowns range from £xxxx - £xxxx
After you have selected your dream dress, we will then take body measurements and discuss sizing with you. An initial payment of 50% is taken and your order confirmed.
Your gown can take between 4 to 6 months to arrive. The final 50% payment will be required within 14 days of the gown arriving at the boutique.
We strongly advise that you do not take photographs when trying on our gowns however tempting that may be! The sample gown you will be trying is unlikely to be the perfect size for you and will require alterations to truly do it justice.
We always say that it is best to go with your gut feeling and reaction as to how the gown makes you look and feel whilst in the boutique. Bad lighting, camera quality, angle of photograph are just a few examples potential issues that could cloud your judgement of a dress when reviewing retrospectively.
We do not have an in-house seamstress but have close contact with a seamstress in the locality who we can highly recommend.
